100th anniversary

In 2016, the year in which we celebrated our 100th anniversary, a number of events took place at our company. We produced a commemorative magazine to celebrate our 100th anniversary, created a centenary logo and slogan (Continuing Innovations for the ext 100 years). We also held parties for our employees and their families at Stage 33 in Universal Studios Japan and at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. In addition, we held a party at the Imperial Hotel Osaka for 861 guests, including customers, partners and alumni who have supported the company in various ways. The party was attended by a total of 861 people and we gave away a set of wine and our cosmetics as a memento.

Red&White wine bottles

The wines were red and white, appropriate for the 100th anniversary, and the wine labels contained various thoughts for different people. The red wine's label read "Thanks". We would like to express our gratitude to all our customers who have purchased Hosokawa Micron's machines, to all the companies who have helped us to win orders and then hand them over to our customers, to our seniors who have helped us to celebrate our 100th anniversary and to all the employees who have been involved in the development, sales, design and production of our machines. We would like to express our gratitude to all the employees who have been involved in the development, sales, design and production of our machines.

The label of the white wine, on the other hand, read "Sennariya Tsuru hitosujino Hisago kana". When Eiichi HOSOKAWA, the first president of the company, was deciding whether to sell the rights to the Micron mill, he was presented with this phrase by Momotani MIKIJIRO, the managing director of MOMOTANI JUNTENKAN and daughter-in-law of Genzo SHIMAZU , who had been a great help to him. The word "Hisago" ="gourd" is a reference to the gourds that Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI used to mark the ends of his long handles on the battlefield to show where he was. If we had not come across this phrase, we would not have celebrated our 100th anniversary.
