The Innomizer is an impact type ultra fine grinding mill equipped with an air classifier. Operating the Innomizer is very simple and it can out perform conventional jet mills. The jet mill is closely correlated to ultra fine grinding, but it is often criticized for its large energy consumption relative to its capacity. The Innomizer has an original design that has pursued grinding efficiency, allowing it to produce products with particle sizes of a few μm to a few ten μm (jet mill territory), which was unachievable with conventional impact type mills. This unit can achieve a maximum capacity 2 to 3 times more than that of a jet mill with the same energy consumption.

The Innomizer is installed with a classifier and has a compact design. The raw material is fed to the grinding rotor by air through the feed inlet then passes through the space between the grinding rotor and the blade via circulation flow generated by the grinding rotor. Once the particles flow through this passage, they are ground by impact in the small chamber between the vertically grooved ring rotating at high speeds, and the liner. The ground particles are then carried by airflow to the classifier where the balance of the centrifugal force generated by the rotating classifying rotor and suctioned air classify the fine particles outside of the unit. On the other hand, the classified coarse materials are once again carried to the grinding zone by the circulation flow. By utilizing this unique inner circulation flow, the unit is structured to continuously grind the materials until they have reached the target particle size.

• High grinding capabilities
Efficient grinding takes place within the grinding chamber (prevention of over grinding and repeated grinding of coarse particles takes place by the installed classifier). For example, in the case of grinding toner, 30-50% cost reduction (comparing energy consumption ratio) can be expected relative to conventional jet mills.
• High grade, high added value of products
Rather than installing a classifier outside of the machine, the unit is pre-equipped with a classifier, allowing it to control the top particle size and achieve a sharp particle distribution. It is possible to control particle shapes and perform coating as well.
• Easy particle size control
Product size can be easily adjusted from a few μm to a few ten μm by simply modifying the classifying rotor’s rotation speed.
• Easy Maintenance and Inspection
Maintenance and Cleaning can be performed easily. It is possible to manufacture an Innomizer with a hinged door structure as well.
• Wide variety of designs
Can be applied to low temperature/circulation systems, as well as be designed with abrasion, adhesion counter measures.
