Grinding

Grinding is a process to break or disintegrate a solid by applying external stress to reduce its size. There are four types of force that can be practically applied for the size reduction. They are "compression", "shear", "impact", and "attrition" forces. These four types of forces have demonstrated their function and versatility for size reduction in many applications in a wide variety of industries. Hosokawa Micron manufactures a broad range of equipment for both production and laboratory capacities utilizing these four types of mechanical forces to effectively produce a required particle size.
