Measurements

Powders have two types of solid-state properties : inherent physical-chemical properties and dynamic properties that are altered by changes in form and ambient conditions. Dynamic properties in particular are basic and important items for the treatment and handling of powders.
However, clusters of minute particles do not exist in a single phase such as gas or liquid. Rather, they exist at all times in multiple phases: a 2-phase system including either gas or liquid, or a 3-phase system including both gas and liquid. These combinations are extremely complex, and difficult to measure. Hosokawa Micron Corporation has used its extensive experience and knowledge in powder technology to develop and market an instrument to measure such particles.
