Gear Pelletizer GCS

General

The Gear Pelletizer accomplishes press granulation by two rolls. Powder is fed and then pressed at the clearance point of the two rolls. Granules are pressed out continuously through nozzles which are set at the bottom of the roll, then cut off from the nozzles by a scraper producing cylindrical shaped pellets. Applications include : pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, ceramics, and animal feeds.

• Because the nozzles are easy to change, it is simple to adjust the diameter and length of pellets to produce a wide variety of products.
• Easy access to the rolls makes cleaning and nozzle replacement simple and fast.
• The rolls can be heated up and cooled down.
• High pressure and shear forces reduce the use of binders to fuse particles
